It wasn’t so much a case of '7th time's a charm' as '7th time's a pleasure' when it came to Jessica and Charles’ big day at the majestic Mar Hall Golf & Spa Resort. Having filmed Jessica as a bridesmaid six times over the past eight years (!) it was so precious to have the privilege of capturing her wedding day. One of the best aspects of our job is getting to know not only our couples but also their families. Having spent a good bit of time with this ‘Bride Tribe,’ we knew this wedding would be a special one.
The sun rose on a hive activity in the bridal suite at Mar Hall. There was laughter a plenty as Asteria Bridal - Make Up & Hair helped the bridal party get ready though with such a bevy of natural beauties, I don’t think you could really call it work, eh ladies?
A team who were certainly putting in the graft over in the marque was Jordana Event Design and Florist. Whenever we work with Jordana, we’re always impressed by how much she cares about her clients and bringing their vision to life. Whilst the end result speaks for itself, the work that goes in behind the scenes is incredible to witness. Jordana is an asset on any wedding day.
It really was a dream team line up of suppliers for us as we also had the pleasure of working alongside Simon Clubb Photography. Simon is not only incredibly talented, but his dry humour will have any bridal party in stitches.
Jessica’s wedding gown, by Suzanne Neville for Perfect Bridal Rooms, looked beautiful on the mannequin. However, as Jessica walked down Mar Hall’s iconic purple stairway, it was difficult to imagine a dress that would have suited her better. Understated yet elegant, stunning with a bit of sparkle, the perfect choice 😊
The day flew by in a flurry of laughter, hugs, smiles and a few tears (maybe just us). Corra did a great job at night introducing the Groom and his family to the energetic joy of Scottish ceilidh dancing with the whole day wrapping up with an emotional rendition of Loch Lomond.
