We were looking forward to our first trip to Balbirnie House Hotel for a number of reasons. Firstly- the venue: Wow. Beautiful grounds, a lovely light-filled ballroom and bedrooms straight from your favourite Pinterest board.
Secondly, the chance to work with some of our absolute favourite suppliers. You know that it’s going to be a good day when you see Susan Renée Photography on the supplier list. Susan has the unique ability to not only create and capture the most breath-taking images, but her care, courtesy and professionalism mean that whatever situation may arise on a wedding day, you know you are in safe hands. We also got to enjoy some time with AMM Hair and Make Up Team and Samantha Cardno Make Up & Styling as they helped the girls get ready (Remember your wee bumpy Samantha😊) Supernova Events & Weddings are always a pleasure to work alongside and they excelled themselves at this wedding, executing one of the fastest and most stunning room turnarounds I think we’ve ever seen. T-Junction Wedding Band rounded off the day in style with a mix of ceilidh and wedding classics, enjoyed by the bridal party and guest alike.
However, the most important reason we were looking forward to this wedding was the awesome couple at the heart of it. Having known Ashleigh Jayne for a long time, we had no doubt that her wedding would be stunning. This girl exudes style but, as her dad so perfectly put it; she's not just a beauty on the outside but one of the kindest, most hardworking and generous souls. Having gotten to know Grant during the run up to the big day, it's easy to see that they are made for one another. Their wedding was a celebration of everything that is important to them, family, friends and living life to the full.
