ASHLEIGH & DANIEL | FORBES OF KINGENNIE | DUNDEE | SCOTLAND

Updated: May 10, 2018

“May your heart always be joyful, May your song always be sung, And may you stay Forever Young.”

Sometimes when planning a wedding, the ceremony itself can become a bit of an afterthought. Some people see it as ‘the serious bit’ and maybe even ‘the boring bit.’ Not so with Ashleigh and Daniel’s wedding. It was obvious from the get go that as a couple the ceremony was very important to them; resulting in a service that was as personal as it was poignant, as encouraging as it was emotional and as happy as it was heart warming. Pastor Neil delivered a beautiful message filled with all the things important to the soon-to-be-weds; Family, Fun, Friends and Faith. A special shout out also to the worship band who set the tone beautifully with their emotive rendition of ‘It’s Friday I’m in Love,’ as the Bride walked down the aisle. Also a big thank you to Daniel, that reading at the end might make our eyes prick just a little.

Our first time shooting at Forbes of Kingennie Country Resort did not disappoint. Despite the dramatically ‘changeable’ summer weather, the surrounding lakes and woodlands were breath-taking and the ceremony room, dressed by Occasions and Stucio & Waow Florist, looked like your favourite pintrest board brought to life.

Over in Bards Neuk, Ashleigh and her family were preparing for the day ahead with a little help from Heather at The Oasis Hair And Beauty Salon Peterhead and Samantha Cardno Make Up & Styling. The morning flew by and before long it was time for Rach and Katie to get into their bridesmaids' dresses from One Day Like This, so they could then help the bride into her Justin Alexander gown from Alison Kirk Bridal - Perth. Daniel’s reaction to seeing his bride for the first time says it all. WOW

After the ceremony, the Scottish rain continued to bless us but the supertalented Burfly Photography were undeterred, making the most of the beautiful ceremony space. Check out their post to see just some of the stunning images they captured.

With a couple this musically gifted, we had very high hopes for the reception and we weren’t disappointed. Franco kept the dancefloor jam packed and their version of ‘No one knows’ has us convinced that Queens of the Stone Age should be on every wedding set list.

Ashleigh and Daniel, how can we ever thank you for such a special weekend. We were so honoured to play a small part on your big day, and so thankful you chose us to capture it. Here are your wedding film highlights.

P.S. #CutestflowergirlEVER, but we might be slightly biased there
